It would appear that my appeal to have my adsense account re-enabled was denied, so from now on I’ll be using adBrite ads on Pixel Nations. I’m not sure if things will be any different, The ads are relatively the same and in the same spots, so I’m not sure you’ll really notice a difference.

As before, please DO NOT spam click the ads, clicking them 40 times will NOT make me money, and I’ll only lose my account. So please, for the love of god, don’t do this. Thanks!

It’s been about a month since I last made a blog post, though you wouldn’t know it because it’s rather hard to find the old blog these days. When I first started the Beta, I set up a wordpress blog, but I’m tired of fighting it so I’ve decided I’ll just use Tumblr instead. It’s less personal this way, but easier for me, and I’ll probably post more now.

Anywho, to the updates. Man, there’s been a LOT. The last post was about adding alliances, and there was maybe 20 players? We’re at 189 as of this post, and a whole lot of new fun things have been added. The main feature would be the ability to fight wars. Yes, that’s what has made the game so popular, from ground battles with soldiers and tanks to naval battles, aerial dogfights, even to ballistic and nuclear missile attacks. It’s all there, and though I’m still tweaking it, for the most part it works.

Before this big explosion I was wise and opened up an Adsense account. At first I wasn’t making too much, but in it’s prime I was up to around $2-3 a day. Alas, just this morning, I was notified my account was disabled due to invalid ad clicks. Which, I’m assuming, was caused by all my high school friends who signed up and had no idea how the game worked. I told them I made money when people clicked ads, and although I was explicitly warning people that I wouldn’t profit if they clicked the ads a whole bunch, apparently they did it anyway and now I’ve forfeited at least $20 and lost my adsense account.

Great.

I’ve appealed the disabled-ness (is that a word?) of my account, but in the meantime I’ve opened up an adBrite account (I’ve never used adBrite before) and it is now serving ads on the website. I’m not sure if it will be better or worse, but right now it’s a substitute. We’ll see how things go, my appeal might get denied and I could be stuck with adBrite forever. Hopefully not…

Anyway, that’s pretty much how things are for me at the moment. I’d like to thank everyone who has signed up in the last week, and given me lots of great feedback, it has been much appreciated.
